Justin Rose has racked up 11 career victories on the PGA Tour, which includes finishing on top of the leaderboard at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2023. Rose will be part of a star-studded 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach-Pro Am field, which also includes the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Viktor Hovland. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2024 is set to get underway from Pebble Beach Golf Links on Thursday, Feb 1.
Rose has played in three events thus far this season, finishing T-40 or worse in all three tournaments. Rose is listed as a 90-1 longshot to repeat according to the latest 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds. McIlroy is the 15-2 favorite, followed by Scheffler (17-2), Hovland (12-1) and Xander Schauffele (12-1) on the PGA odds board. Before locking in any 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf betting and fantasy expert Sia Nejad.
Nejad specializes in betting and DFS in golf, among other sports. He’s had incredible success in the outright and first-round leader markets and in betting head-to-head matchups. He also has been on fire with his head-to-head matchups since last year’s Charles Schwab Challenge, going 28-15-1 and returning 10.41 units over that span. That’s a $1,041 profit for $100 bettors since May 2023.
Nejad also nailed 75-1 longshot Wyndham Clark as the outright winner at the Wells Fargo Championship. In 2023, SportsLine debuted “The Early Wedge,” and in the first three months of the show, he hit two first-round leaders and three outright winners.
Now, Nejad has focused his attention on the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am field and has locked in his best bets, top sleepers, and favorites to avoid. See who they are at SportsLine.
Top 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am expert picks
One surprise: Nejad is completely fading Scheffler, even though he is the No. 1 player in the world. Scheffler has been the most consistent golfer over the last 12 months. He’s finished T-6 or better in 10 of his last 13 starts on the PGA Tour, which includes a T-5 finish at The Sentry earlier this month.
However, Scheffler is coming off a T-17 finish at the American Express in La Quinta and he’s set to make his first career start at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week. His only previous professional experience at Pebble Beach came at the 2019 U.S. Open. He missed the cut at that event and he enters this week’s tournament ranked 126th in putts per round (30.25) and 143rd in strokes gained: putting (-0.650). “His outright odds are simply too short, given how many players may be able to contend this week,” Nejad told SportsLine.
However, Nejad is high on the chances of Justin Thomas, who is listed at +2500. The two-time major champion wasn’t originally exempt for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am field, but his tie for third at The American Express two weeks ago safely moved him into the top 30 in the world and earned him a spot at Pebble Beach. With his berth secured, he withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open last week.
Nejad likes Thomas’ form entering Pebble Beach. He is on a run of four consecutive top-five finishes worldwide. “Thomas continued to gain strokes in a big way on approach, around the green and putting at The American Express, and I think the outright odds have not caught up to his outright potential,” Nejad said.
